The arrival of the CSTO peacekeeping forces on the territory of Kazakhstan is prompted by the entry of terrorists into the country. The decision was commented on in the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“I would like to emphasize that peacekeeping forces will be deployed in Kazakhstan for a while, it depends on the internal situation in Kazakhstan. As the CSTO Secretary General announced, there could be about a few days or weeks. This will all depend on the situation in Kazakhstan. The total number of arrived soldiers is 2,500,” said Shakhrat Nuryshev, Kazakh First Deputy Foreign Minister.
