Commemorating 100th anniversary of Kazakh animation pioneer Amen Khaydarov

The memory of the pioneer of Kazakh animation, Amen Khaydarov, was honored in Turkey. To commemorate the animator’s 100th birth anniversary, a digitized version of the first domestic cartoon entitled ‘Why the Swallow Has the Tail with Little Horns’ was presented. This animated film, based on the Kazakh folk tale, was directed by Khaydarov in 1967. It is noteworthy that the cartoon received numerous awards and was screened in 48 countries. Additionally, Khaydarov was the creator of other notable animations, including ‘Aksak Kulan’ (A Lame Kulan), ‘Tail’, ‘Khoja-Nasyr – Builder’, ‘Sunny Bunny’, and ‘The Magic Carpet’.
