A reporter with the President's team is covering a significant diplomatic journey, beginning with the official visit of Slovenia’s President Nataša Pirc Musar to Kazakhstan, where she and Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev reaffirmed their countries’ strategic partnership. With Slovenia already investing nearly $200 million in Kazakhstan, both sides committed to expanding cooperation in sectors like green energy, AI, healthcare, higher education, and logistics.
Following this, the Kazakh president continued to Samarkand, Uzbekistan, for the first-ever EU–Central Asia Summit, where he held bilateral meetings with EU leaders and discussed deepening ties across energy, infrastructure, and digital transformation. Kazakhstan highlighted its growing role as a trade and logistics hub, noting an economic growth and record cargo throughput. At the Samarkand Climate Forum, the President emphasized Kazakhstan’s potential in the global green transition, calling for international cooperation on water conservation, biodiversity protection, and sustainable development.
Together, these events mark a new chapter in Kazakhstan’s role on the regional and global stage, strengthening ties with both European and Central Asian partners.
