The International Media Forum “Central Asia – China” was
held in Astana. It was organized by China’s largest newspaper, People’s Daily,
in partnership with the TV and Radio Complex of the Kazakh President. Over 200
media representatives, politicians, experts, and analysts from Central Asia and
China attended the event. Participants emphasized that media exchanges are a
vital part of bilateral relations and underscored the need to explore new formats
of cooperation—especially now, amid the ongoing development of information
technologies.
«The Belt and Road Initiative is not only about
infrastructure and the economy. It is a philosophy centered on the idea of a
shared future for mankind - an idea that resonates deeply with us. As heirs of
the Great Silk Road, it is symbolic that today we are speaking not of the
exchange of goods, but of ideas, meanings, and trust. True closeness between
countries begins with human understanding and mutual interest. In this context,
the role of the media cannot be overstated,» noted Raushan Kazhibayeva,
Director of the Kazakh President’s TV and Radio Complex.
Fang Jiangshan, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of People's Daily,
noted that Central Asian countries and China have officially announced the
establishment of a community with a shared future at the bilateral level.
«The idea of a community with a shared future for mankind is
gradually becoming a global consensus and a common value, evolving into a
powerful movement. This marks the first time the concept has encompassed the
region in both bilateral and multilateral formats. Full regional coverage
reflects the parties’ determination and commitment to achieving a higher level
and quality of cooperation,» said Fang Jiangshan, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the
People’s Daily.
