CEC completes accreditation of observers of international organizations and foreign states

The Central Election Commission completed the accreditation of foreign observers. Thus, almost 400 representatives of international organizations and foreign states will observe the elections in Kazakhstan. Accreditation in the country was launched at the end of last year. According to the constitutional law, it was completed five days before election day.

“In accordance with the Constitutional Law ‘On Elections in Kazakhstan’, the accreditation of observers of foreign states and international organizations ended at 6 p.m. The issue of accreditation of observers of international organizations and foreign states was considered during seven meetings of the Central Election Commission. Thus, 398 observers were accredited for the upcoming elections to the Mazhilis of the Kazakh Parliament and Maslikhats. 322 observers are from 10 international organizations and 76 from 31 foreign states”, said Berik Imashev, Chairperson of Kazakhstan Central Election Commission.
