Kazakh citizens have received
over 13,000 microloans totaling more than 82 billion tenge under the Auyl
Amanaty program. Nearly 80 percent of the borrowed funds were directed towards
fostering entrepreneurship in the livestock sector, according to Vice Minister
of Agriculture Yerbol Taszhurekov. He noted that the utilization of the
allocated 100 billion tenge for 2023 continues, with a particular focus on
advancing agricultural cooperatives. A total of 299 farmer associations in the
country received funding worth 6.2 billion tenge. In order to increase their
number, other forms of state support are also provided, such as a special tax
regime and the creation of favorable conditions by local authorities. This
includes providing market space, participation in fairs, and attracting
prominent regional anchor companies. The ministry plans to allocate an
additional 100 billion tenge for the implementation of the Auyl Amanaty program
in 2024. Also, a dedicated expert group has been formed to improve the program.
“There are no restrictions within
the Auyl Amanaty program. Support can be provided to any type of businesses as
long as they adhere to specified limits, namely 8.5 million tenge per
individual and nearly 29.5 million tenge for cooperatives involving three or
more individuals. Overall, each issued microloan, which currently amounts to
13,000, is considered a micro-project. All applications are accepted in line
with small business projects,” said Taszhurekov.
