During an official visit to Kazakhstan, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev and his delegation held high-level talks with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, focusing on strengthening trade, investment, and economic cooperation. The two sides agreed on joint projects in energy, green transition, agriculture, and tourism, and signed a memorandum on the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, highlighting broader connectivity goals. Major initiatives included a €200 million forest restoration project and a $100 million sponge iron facility.
Soon after, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico arrived for his first visit, with both countries pledging to deepen cooperation in trade, defense, energy, and regional development, including potential uranium supply for Slovakia’s nuclear plants.
