The total volume of investments
in the Kazakh capital amounted to 1.6 trillion tenge in 2023. Astana mayor
Zhenis Kassymbek reported to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the
socio-economic and infrastructural development of the city, informing about the
progress of the heating season. The capital is experiencing a surplus of heat
due to the autumn launch of the South-East gas thermal power station, the first
phase of the Turan station, and the first stage of CHP-3. The capacity of the
new critical infrastructure is 1,140 Gcal/hour. This year, work in this
direction will continue, with plans to commission the first phase of the Telman
station, the second phase of Turan, as well as the coal part of CHP-3. The Head
of State gave a number of instructions for Astana’s further development.
