The opportunities and risks of
developing artificial intelligence are being discussed in Astana. As noted at
the TechnoWomen Central Asia: AI Future Forum, the introduction of neural
networks will lead to the transformation of numerous professions in the future
and an increase in competition in the labor market, for which the domestic
youth, as well as the youth of the entire Central Asian region, should already be
prepared. According to analysts’ forecasts, the demand for specialists with
high digital skills will double in the near future. Therefore, it is necessary
to enhance knowledge in the field of IT. To this end, experts propose creating
a unified hub for the implementation of artificial intelligence in Central
Asia.
“In my opinion, another important direction is
the formation of a certain IT hub or a hub that brings together technologies
based on artificial intelligence. It is crucial to have deep
collaboration, for example, communication between universities, between startups,
so that they can exchange experiences. As you know, knowledge stands behind
these technologies. Besides, it is very important to enhance financial literacy
among the population, launching various courses,” said Umida Ziyamova, member
of the Expert Committee at Fintech Association of Uzbekistan.
“There are professions that involve physical
labor, like carpentry and others. They are likely to persist, but will
change under the influence of new tools. In the realm of higher intellectual
labor, the professions of scientists and others will also persist. However, in
this intermediate layer, such jobs as operators, conductors, even anchors, many
professions will undergo transformation,” said Aziza Shuzheyeva, Chair of the Board
of the TechnoWomen non-profit organization.
