22 industrial parks to open in Turkistan region

A total of 152 projects are planned for implementation in industrial parks across the Turkistan region, with total investment expected to reach around 213 billion tenge. Overall, 22 such zones will be established in the region, covering a combined area of approximately 225.5 hectares. To support the development of these industrial sites, a special roadmap is set to be approved.

«Most of the projects located in small industrial parks cover sectors such as the production of construction materials, plastic and rubber products, furniture manufacturing, light industry, and chemical production. Together with local administrations, we will work on placing new projects as industrial facilities are commissioned,» noted Nurzhigit Myrzakhmetov, Head of the Turkistan region’s Entrepreneurship and Trade Department.

Notably, Kazakhstan currently operates 17 special economic zones and 66 industrial zones. Across these areas, a total of 860 projects have been implemented, with private investment exceeding six trillion tenge.
