15th anniversary of Turkic Academy celebrated in Astana

Scholars of the Turkic world are preparing a unified academic book The History of Turkic States. Currently, specialists are analyzing and systematizing the collected data. This was reported in Astana at an event marking the 15th anniversary of the International Turkic Academy. In 2009, at the summit of the Heads of Turkic States in Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan proposed creating an organization for joint research on the Turkic world. A year later, in Astana, the foundations were laid for the activities of a scientific organization dedicated to studying history, languages, literature, and culture. The Academy conducts archaeological research, implements ethnographic projects, and carries out studies in linguistics, terminology, and the arts. Simultaneously, research is being conducted on the economic cooperation of Turkic countries, including in agriculture and water resources.

«The creation of this infrastructure - the scientific infrastructure and research base for these processes - has been one of the tasks of the Turkic Academy in recent years. In this field, over the past two to three years, we have been publishing annual regional reports on the economies of the Turkic states and their economic integration,» said President of the Turkic Academy Shahin Mustafayev.
