This year, 133,000 young Kazakh citizens have received
grants to study at the country’s vocational education institutions. In total, more than 190,000 applicants have been enrolled so far. Training will start on September 1. It bears noting that according to the country’s Ministry of Education, 70 percent of the state order will be given to technical specialties by 2025.
“It should be noted that this year the state educational order has been
increased by 50,000 places. As part of the implementation of the instructions given
by the Head of State, the state order has been reoriented to technical
specialties, including such areas as geology, energy, metallurgy, machinery,
transport, IT sphere, construction, pedagogy and medicine. Besides, 75,000 applicants
were enrolled under the quota category,” said Altai Rakhimberlin, spokesperson for the Kazakh
Ministry of Education.
