Most of the food people buy in
Mangystau comes from nearby countries. Because of this, prices can be high and
hard for many families to afford. To fix this, the president has asked to build
big food distribution centers to help keep food prices stable and available.
One of the first to start this
work is a husband and wife team from Aktau — Sailau Koshmagambetov and
Gulzhihan Zhakayeva. Their modern center is on a large piece of land just
outside the city. Inside, they store nearly 40,000 tons of food for the
region’s emergency supply, helping make sure there is enough food at good
prices.
Sailau and Gulzhihan began their
business 20 years ago with a big dream. Through hard work and experience, they
now run one of the biggest companies in the area, mostly in construction.
Mangystau isn’t just about oil.
It’s an important place connecting East and West with major roads and a busy
sea port. The special economic zone at Aktau port is helping more businesses
grow.
Local business owners like Sailau
and Gulzhihan are helping the region grow stronger.
We share the story of this
hardworking couple, doing their best for their home.
