A specialized medical train ‘Salamatty Kazakhstan’ will come to new regions of the country – Zhetysu, Abai and Ulytau. It set off from Almaty region. Overall, doctors will visit 67 remote stations. The train consists of eight carriages. All of them are equipped with telephone and online communications for telemedicine consultations with the country’s top clinics. Currently, there are two medical trains running in Kazakhstan as part of the project. It is planned that domestic doctors will be able to provide medical assistance and consult more than 60,000 Kazakh citizens.
“The train timetable has already been formed based primarily on the population’s requests and on the proposals of government agencies. Our trains run to remote stations as well. We took into account all aspects: the remoteness of the surrounding villages, stations from hospitals, provision of medical stations with equipment. In general, as practice shows, the number of citizens turning to medical train specialists is growing,” Alfiya Adiyeva, CEO of Social Development Foundation ‘Samruk-Kazyna Trust’, said.
