Senate Speaker meets with Kazakh participants of fifth World Nomad Games

Maulen Ashimbayev, Chairperson of the Senate, the Upper House of the Kazakh Parliament, met with participants of the fifth World Nomad Games to show support for domestic athletes who reached the finals of the zhamby atu competition. He highlighted that the Games play a vital role in promoting national sports and the nomadic heritage. This year’s event, hosted in Kazakhstan, is unique in terms of organization, the number of participating countries, and the scale of cultural programs. It features 2,800 participants from 89 countries, the organizers note. Also, a scientific program involving 75 experts from 12 countries is scheduled as part of the event’s activities.
