Schools in Kazakhstan began preparing for the new academic year. Educational institutions are discussing the protection of children from coronavirus. For example, in one school in Aktobe, where about 1,600 children study, teachers have already started working on preparations and plan to draw special attention to sanitary requirements from September. They will talk about the threats and ways to prevent the epidemic at the school entry. More than 100 teachers and junior staff members received vaccines.
Information about the dangerous infection will be reported to students via the interactive whiteboard. Each classroom has a device for measuring body temperature and an antiseptic. According to the rules, there should not be more than 25 children in one classroom. Moreover, breaks between classes will be at different times.
“All lessons for children will be conducted in one room. Breaks will be at different times. We drew up a preliminary schedule. We are actively preparing now. Last year, there were different entrances and exits for primary, secondary and high school students. If this requirement is imposed this year, we will comply with it,” said Aisulu Dzhaksybayeva, Principal at the Secondary School №8
Both parents and teachers hope that this year children will study offline.
“We want children to study at school with teachers, sitting at the desks and doing exercises at the whiteboard. Students gain more knowledge by attending school. Therefore, I am in favor of returning to the traditional form of education,” stated a city resident Shynar Amangeldiyevna.
Whether the upcoming academic year will be held traditionally or online depends on the epidemiological situation and the decision of sanitary doctors.
