During his working visit to the
Karagandy region, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited the new Silk
Road Electronics plant in Saran city. The plant currently produces household
appliances and electronics. Since the start of this year alone, the company has
supplied about 100,000 units of products to retail chains in Kazakhstan. Now,
the enterprise plans to reach a production capacity of over one million units
of household appliances by 2027 and export its products to the CIS countries.
«We produce seven types of household appliances,
including TV sets, vacuum cleaners, washing machines, kitchen hoods,
mini-ovens, and water heaters. We have already made our first shipment
to the Kyrgyz Republic, and now we are working on expanding exports to other
CIS countries and the customs union,» said Alexander Kritsky, Technical
Director at the Meridian Company.
With the arrival of the South Korean company,
production scales are set to increase. Minki Chu, the Chair of Samsung
Electronics Central Eurasia, announced plans to organize the production of TV
sets and automatic washing machines under this well-known South Korean brand at
the facility. The Head of State also visited a tire manufacturing plant in
Saran, where he familiarized himself with the production cycle and the
development prospects of the enterprise. The plant is expected to produce one
million tires in the first year of operation and 3.5 million tires in three
years. Notably, the tires are produced under the Attar brand and are certified
according to international standards. The tires are supplied both to the domestic
market and exported abroad. This year, domestic JAC cars will be equipped with
these tires. The Head of State left his autograph on one of the products.
«It is planned to manufacture tires ranging
from 13 to 20 inches, covering a variety of sizes. At the moment, an
assembly of 16-inch tire sizes is being demonstrated behind me. On another
assembly line, 15-inch tires are being produced. The production capacity is set
at 3.5 million tires, including three million passenger car tires and up to
500,000 truck tires,» said Dmitry Prorokov, chief engineer at the assembly and
fabrication department of the tire center.
Additionally, President Tokayev visited the
social facilities of Shakhter village. There is a sports and recreation
center, volleyball, basketball, football, table tennis and Kazakh kuresi
sections. Children from the neighboring villages also come here to participate
in these activities.
«I think that in the future you may become
champions, but that’s not the most important thing. What matters most is
maintaining a positive spirit. Sport is a healthy lifestyle and clear mind. So,
I wish you success!» said the Kazakh President.
The Head of State also toured the renovated culture
house and spoke with the brass band members. He emphasized the
importance of implementing sports and cultural projects in the regions. Besides,
President Tokayev met with rural workers and stressed that the government will
continue to focus on rural development and provide support to farmers.
