At
the Akorda Presidential Palace, ambassadors of Norway, Argentina, Ghana, Mali,
The Gambia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Bosnia and Herzegovina presented their
credentials to the Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during an official
ceremony.
The Head of State briefed the
diplomats on the prospects for Kazakhstan’s socio-economic and political
development. Despite external challenges, the national economy remains one of
the most stable and dynamic in the region. At the same time, Kazakhstan does
not intend to rest on its laurels and continues to consistently implement
economic reforms. President Tokayev noted that a nationwide referendum on the
adoption of a new Constitution will be held on March 15. The Basic Law is
expected to provide a solid foundation for large-scale reforms and the further
democratization of Kazakhstan. He also emphasized that Kazakhstan pursues a
peaceful foreign policy and expressed solidarity with the Gulf states, voicing
hope for a swift resolution of ongoing conflicts.
