Tokayev approved the National Development Plan of Kazakhstan until 2029.
Designed with consideration of contemporary challenges, the plan focuses on
quality economic growth, improving the well-being of Kazakh citizens, and
fostering innovation and investment. It includes 17 development areas grouped
into four sections. Key achievements are aimed at ensuring access to basic
infrastructure and quality services and creating equal opportunities for every
citizen. The implementation of the goals and targets outlined in the document
is expected to place Kazakhstan among high-income countries. The country’s GDP
is projected to reach $450 billion, with real economic growth rates increasing
to 6.7 percent and life expectancy rising to 77 years.
