President of Kazakhstan gives instructions to strengthen work on raising teachers’ status

Kazakh President received Minister of Education and Science Askhat Aimagambetov. The Head of State was presented with proposals that provide for strengthening the responsibility of private kindergartens and new approaches to the development of school programs and textbooks. According to Askhat Aimagambetov, amendments were made to the Law ‘On Science’. Now, more than 4,000 scientists, who are engaged in scientific research in the fields of history, the Kazakh language, philosophy, archeology, mathematics, oriental studies and other disciplines, will receive a stable salary. Also, the term for financing scientific projects has been extended from 3 to 5 years. A thousand grants have been allocated to support young scientists. The Head of State instructed to intensify the work to improve the quality of school education and the status of teachers.
