A total of 45 major industrial projects worth 2.3 trillion
tenge are being implemented in Kazakhstan, as announced by Prime Minister Olzhas
Bektenov during a meeting with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The Head of
State was presented with a report on the measures being taken to ensure the
country’s sustainable socio-economic development, as well as on the work to
fulfill the tasks set during the Security Council meeting on the transport
sector. The President was also briefed on the progress of the growing season and preparations for the harvest.
Water-saving technologies are being introduced, and farmers are being provided
with the necessary water resources. Since the beginning of the year, the gross
output of products and services in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries has grown
by 4%. Additionally, information was presented on the modernization of energy
and utility infrastructure, as well as on digital transformation efforts. At
the end of the meeting, President Tokayev issued a number of instructions on
further institutional reforms in the economy, regional development, and
investment attraction.
