Nearly 2,000 people receive Kandas status via new single service delivery point

About 2,000 people in Kazakhstan have received the Kandas status through a new mechanism of a single service delivery point implemented within a pilot project. According to the Kazakh Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, applications from ethnic Kazakhs were first accepted by Kazakhstan’s diplomatic missions abroad and then sent to the local executive bodies for further consideration. The latter is supposed to provide the places of permanent settlement, employment, and inclusion in the regional quota. It is worth noting that the mechanism of ethnic Kazakhs admission was revised within the 2023-2027 Migration Policy Concept.
