State Counsellor Erlan Karin has taken part in a literary
challenge dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the great Kazakh poet Abai
Kunanbaiuly. On his social media page, he shared a list of his favorite books,
including «The Path of Abai» by Mukhtar Auezov, «Words of Edification» by Abai
Kunanbaiuly, and «The Psychology of War» by Bauyrzhan Momyshuly, among others.
The challenge aims to identify the most popular literary works among Kazakh
readers. The final list will be announced on August 10 - Abai Day.

Koshanov, Chairman of the Mazhilis, the lower house of the Kazakh Parliament;
Mereke Kulkenov, Chairman of the Writers’ Union; Berik Abdigaliyevich, Director
of the National Museum; and renowned journalist and blogger Orken Kenzhebek,» Karin
said.
