Health Ministry of Kazakhstan officially registered the Russian one-component vaccine Sputnik Light. According to the department, this is a light version of the Sputnik V. Its effectiveness is 79.4 percent from the 28th day after receiving the vaccine. According to the Health Ministry, the vaccine will shorten the period of immunization of the population and accelerate the development of herd immunity. No serious adverse reactions were registered after the Sputnik Light vaccine. This is already the fifth vaccine approved in Kazakhstan. Currently, people in the country are receiving the vaccines such as QazVac, Sputnik V, Hayat-Vax and СоronaVac. A preliminary agreement with the Pfizer manufacturing company was reached for the delivery of the vaccine in the fourth quarter of this year.
