Kazakhstan has
successfully completed its spring sowing campaign. According to the government,
spring fieldwork across all regions of the country was carried out on schedule.
This year, the total sown area amounted to approximately 24 million hectares,
which is 180,000 hectares more than in 2025. In line with the President’s
directive, special attention was given to high-yield and strategically
important crops. As a result, the areas allocated to grains, oilseeds, and
forage crops were expanded. The main grain-producing regions traditionally
remain Akmola, North Kazakhstan, and Kostanai regions. A key factor in the
successful implementation of the campaign was state support for farmers, with
particular attention paid to ensuring access to material and technical
resources. A new mechanism of early financing was also introduced, enabling
farmers to purchase seeds, fertilizers, plant protection products, and
machinery in advance and at more favorable prices. In addition, Kazakhstan
continues to implement water-saving technologies and modernize agricultural
machinery.
