Kazakhstan increased its exports
to Russia to $2.8 billion for the period from January to May of this year.
China and Italy are also among the key partners of the country. In the first
five months of 2024, exports to China grew by nearly 20 percent, reaching $6.8
billion. Kazakhstan’s exports to Italy amounted to $4.6 billion. These figures
are provided by the Economic Research Institute under the Kazakh Ministry of
National Economy. It is noted that the country’s exports rose to $32.5 billion.
This increase has primarily been achieved through a rise in the export of oil,
copper, radioactive elements, and ferroalloys. At the same time, there has been
a decrease in imports into Kazakhstan, which mainly include cars, medicines,
mobile devices, and aircraft.
