Korean universities are ready to provide state grants to talented students from Kazakhstan. In return, 20 students from South Korea will study free of charge in our country in the new academic year. A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the ministries of education of the two countries.
“The Republic of Korea is now one of our main partners not only in the Asian region, but also in general, around the world. For example, South Korea is now Kazakhstan’s 4th largest trade partner. Therefore, I believe, it is now a favorable moment to fill this niche. We are very interested in the training of mechanical engineering and automotive engineers within the industrialization program. We already have several car factories in Kazakhstan that produce and assemble Korean cars,” said Bakyt Dyussenbayev, Kazakh Ambassador to Republic of Korea.
Five Kazakh universities signed a cooperation agreement with Seoul National University. According to the reached agreements, South Korean students can come for exchange studies. Opening of a branch of this university in Kazakhstan in the near future is also being considered.
