In today’s conditions, the role of the Council of Heads of Security Agencies and Special Services of the CIS member states is further increasing. Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated this during a meeting with participants of the 55th session. The Head of State noted that this platform has established itself as a tool for coordinating efforts in the field of security. He also emphasized that the timely exchange of operational and analytical information enhances the effectiveness of countering challenges and threats to regional security. The meeting was attended by the heads of delegations from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, as well as the CIS Executive Committee and the CIS Anti-Terrorism Centre. The outcomes of the session are expected to create conditions for further developing cooperation among the special services of the CIS countries.
