Kazakh President receives credentials from ambassadors of several states

Today, the ceremony of presenting credentials to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev from the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors of nine countries took place at the Akorda Presidential Palace. The credentials were presented by Ambassadors from the Republic of Cyprus, Japan, China, Austria, Burkina Faso, the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, New Zealand, Denmark, and Slovenia. Addressing the diplomats, the Head of State emphasized that Kazakhstan pursues a peace-loving foreign policy both globally and regionally. He noted that the country is an active player in the international arena and the largest economy in Central Asia, with its market open to economic cooperation. In conclusion, President Tokayev congratulated the ambassadors on the official start of their diplomatic mission.

«New Zealand and Kazakhstan enjoy a warm relationship. We share common interests and objectives on issues of importance, including trade and investment, nuclear nonproliferation, peace,» noted Mark Julian Trainor, New Zealand’s Ambassador to Kazakhstan.

«China and Kazakhstan are good neighbors linked by common mountains and rivers, good friends and good partners for mutual success and growth. Our bilateral relations have registered a leap-frog progress,» said Han Chunlin, Chinese Ambassador to Kazakhstan.
