Kazakh government discusses public service development and digitalization

Kazakhstan has launched a new service to notify vehicle owners. It will serve as a tool for mutual assistance among drivers, enhancing road safety and simplifying the resolution of parking issues. This includes situations where vehicles block driveways or are left with open windows. In such cases, vehicle owners will receive anonymous notifications. This was announced by Zhaslan Madiyev, Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry, at a government meeting. According to him, 92% of public services in the country are available online, and digital services are being adapted to meet the needs of businesses. Through eGov Business, users can register a company, check the tax calendar, obtain certificates, or remotely sign documents.

«A built-in risk management system analyzes data and proactively alerts entrepreneurs about potential inspections. The «Register of Mandatory Requirements» module is also available, containing all regulatory documents and rules for specific types of activities. This reduces the risk of violations and enhances businesses' legal literacy. Future plans include launching new services such as client search, market analysis, demand monitoring, and business closures—all aimed at supporting and fostering entrepreneurship,» Madiyev said.

Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov has called for accelerating the digitalization of public services, recognizing it as a key area of interaction between the government and citizens. Therefore, the infrastructure of the digital assistant for Kazakh citizens, eGov Mobile, must operate flawlessly 24/7. Bektenov also instructed that special attention be given to data protection and digital security.

«By the end of the year, I instruct government agencies to complete the connection of all information systems to the personal data access control service. The Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry, in cooperation with the relevant government agencies, must continuously work on increasing the responsibility of specialists working with personal data. It is necessary to tighten penalties for violations in this area,» Bektenov said.
