Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov and Li Haixin,
President of the Chinese company CAMCE, discussed the prospects for
implementing investment projects in Alatau city. The meeting was held as part
of the Head of State’s directive to foster efforts in attracting capital
investments to the national economy. During the talks, Li Haixin presented
several proposals for investment cooperation in developing the city’s
transport, logistics, and industrial infrastructure. Particular attention was
focused on collaboration within the Middle Corridor initiative. Bektenov noted
that over the past six years, Kazakhstan has attracted approximately $130
billion in foreign direct investment, including around $73 billion in the
non-resource sector. Following the meeting, relevant government agencies were
instructed to thoroughly review the company’s investment proposal.
