Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received National Security Committee (NSC) Chairman
Yermek Sagimbayev, who briefed the Head of State on the committee’s plans and
measures being taken to ensure national security, considering current
challenges and threats. President Tokayev was informed about the situation in
areas such as countering international terrorism and religious extremism,
organized crime, drug trafficking, ensuring cybersecurity, and protecting the
state border. The Head of State gave a number of instructions on key areas of
the national security agencies’ activities.
