Industrial safety requirements to be tightened in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan plans to launch a new information system that will enable the creation of passports of industrial safety facilities, automate the accounting of accidents and other processes. This was discussed today at a government meeting on implementing President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s directives to ensure the safety of Kazakh citizens working in hazardous industries. As part of the Industrial Safety Concept, regulatory frameworks will be revised to incorporate the digitalization of facilities. Additionally, production control standards are being strengthened, and stricter requirements are being introduced for emergency rescue services. Owners of hazardous facilities will also have new obligations regarding the modernization and upgrading of equipment.
