The Development Bank of Kazakhstan signed three
investment agreements with three leading German financial institutions. The
documents are aimed at financing a number of domestic projects in key sectors
of the economy. The first agreement with the largest German conglomerate provides
for investments of up to US$200 million. The country also signed two framework
agreements worth 100 million euros each with two other German banks.
The first document is aimed at financing export deals with
the support of credit agencies, while the second one is focused on supporting infrastructure
and industrial projects in the country. Notably, the three documents were
signed during the Kazakhstan-Germany business forum, as part of the visit of the
Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz to Astana.
