Fund of archaeological finds to be established in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan will create a fund of archaeological finds. A special 2023-2025 roadmap has been developed for the implementation of the project. The fund will encompass the most valuable artifacts unearthed by domestic archaeologists over many years of excavations and research throughout the country, according to experts. All materials will be digitized. Additionally, a scientific multi-volume book entitled ‘Archaeology of Kazakhstan’ is slated for release by2027. Also, the first part of the compilation of the country’s history, which is currently under development, will be published next year. Moreover, books entitled ‘Dictionary of Archaeological Words and Terms’ and ‘Data and Research on Kazakhstan’s Archeology’ are being prepared for publication. Experts shared details about the book, which has been recently published.

This is an extensive monographic serial publication, which will contain the results of many years of archaeological research from all over Kazakhstan. 14 volumes have already been published. We are planning to organize and bring together the findings from all field and laboratory studies, and publish a total of 50 volumes within three years,” Akan Ongar, Director General of the Margulan Institute of Archaeology, said.
