Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia to hold meeting in Almaty on May 10

Today, the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia will meet in Almaty for peace treaty negotiations. Kazakhstan has repeatedly provided a dialogue platform for resolving international disputes and conflicts. According to political expert Aidar Amrebayev, the meeting will once again strengthen the peacekeeping potential of Kazakhstan. During his official visit to Yerevan in April, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev called for the swift resolution of relations between the two states, as well as ensuring stability and security in the South Caucasus region. The Head of State stressed that Kazakhstan, as a strong advocate of negotiations for peace and harmony, is ready to support all efforts in this direction.

“Kazakhstan can become a favorable platform for establishing a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan. We create opportunities for the parties to meet and discuss the signing of a peace treaty and border issues, including the delimitation and demarcation of the shared border between Azerbaijan and Armenia. The third issue is the creation of opportunities for global communication in various fields, including security,” said Amrebayev.
