New production facilities are set
to be established in the ‘Park of Innovative Technologies’ special economic
zone in Almaty. Five projects are slated to be commissioned next year. Thus, a factory
for the production of telecommunications equipment and a complex for
manufacturing immunofluorescent test systems will be launched in the
metropolis. Additionally, enterprises for the production of medical devices and
equipment will commence operations within the SEZ territory. The commissioning
of a manufacturing facility for the production of tools and machines is
scheduled as well. The total investment in these projects exceeds 12 billion
tenge. Furthermore, the opening of another four production facilities is
expected by 2025, involving an investment of 11.5 billion tenge. These
facilities intend to manufacture cartridges, medical equipment, and
pharmaceutical products.
