The Consulate General of Kazakhstan in Istanbul recommends Kazakh citizens staying in Turkey to exercise utmost caution, especially in the crowded places. The foreign mission of the country is in touch with the Turkish authorities. There are no reports that any of Kazakh citizens were killed or injured. It bears reminding that an explosion in the heart of Istanbul on the popular pedestrian thoroughfare Istiklal Avenue killed at least six people and injured at least 81 others. Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay said that the blast is considered to be a terrorist arrack.
