The Constitutional Court of the
Republic of Kazakhstan began its work on January 1, 2023, on the basis of the
amendments introduced into the Constitution. On the same day, by Presidential
decree, Elvira Azimova was appointed Chairperson of the Constitutional Court.
She had worked for many years at the Ministry of Justice.
