Eight chemical industry
enterprises are set to be commissioned in Kazakhstan by year-end, with a total
cost estimated at nearly 13 billion tenge. According to the country’s Ministry
of Industry and Construction, among those scheduled for launch are the production
of liquid nitrogen, sodium pyrosulfite, and chemical reagents. The plant will
supply two-thirds of its production to the domestic market. Additionally,
plants for ammonium sulfate production in the Mangystau region and household
chemicals production in Almaty have already been launched, the ministry
reports. Furthermore, 22 projects are currently underway, including the
production of green hydrogen, uranium oxide and dioxide, lithium carbonate,
polyvinyl chloride, ammonium paratungstate, and other chemical products. About
half of the total output is expected to be exported to foreign countries.
