Nearly one billion suffer from severe periodontitis – the main cause of complete tooth loss. Each year, 380,000 new cases of oral cancer are diagnosed worldwide. WHO experts emphasize that children with developmental disabilities are especially vulnerable to these diseases, as they already require special protection.
