UN: Kazakhstan takes lead in attracting investments among post-Soviet nations

Kazakhstan has attracted over $6 billion of investments in 2022, which is the highest figure among the Central Asian countries. According to the annual report on world investments published by the UN Conference on Trade and Development, Uzbekistan ranks second after Kazakhstan. Besides, experts note a six percent increase in foreign direct investment to 32 landlocked developing countries, among which Kazakhstan holds a leading position. The country ranks fifth among the developing economies of the world in terms of attracting investments in renewable energy projects over seven years. During this period of time, the figure amounted to more than $56 billion.
