Kassym-Jomart Tokayev welcomed the President of
Türkiye, who arrived in Kazakhstan on a state visit. From crossing Kazakhstan’s
state border to landing at Astana Airport, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s aircraft was
escorted by fighter jets of Kazakhstan’s Air Defense Forces. A company of the
honor guard was lined up at the foot of the aircraft stairs. The Turkish leader
and the official delegation were greeted by children waving flags in two
languages. Helicopters carrying the flags of Türkiye and Kazakhstan then flew
over the runway. In the airport terminal, young musicians performed the piece «Dombyra» for the Turkish leader. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan arrived in Kazakhstan at
the invitation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
