Revenues to the state budget of Kazakhstan since the beginning of this year amounted to 526 billion tenge (US$1.2 billion). Thus, the plan was fulfilled by 116 percent. A virtual government meeting, chaired by Kazakh Prime Minister Askar Mamin, was held in Nur-Sultan. Meeting participants discussed the results of the socio-economic development of the country in January. Thus, during that month, the results improved in all key sectors of the economy, Mamin said. Five regions and three metropolises of Kazakhstan accounted for growth in five of the seven main economic sectors. These are Akmola, Aktobe, Zhambyl, Kostanai regions, and the cities of Nur-Sultan, Almaty and Shymkent.
“The manufacturing industry has shown steady growth, which has grown by 3 percent since the beginning of the year. The main engines of growth were metallurgical production (+3.1 percent), mechanical engineering (+16.2 percent), including the automotive industry (+21.2 percent), as well as the chemical industry (+12.8 percent), production of building materials (+11.8 percent) and pharmaceuticals (+4 percent). In agriculture, output grew by 2.5 percent,” said the prime minister.
