Kazakhstan exports IT services worth $300 million in first half of year

Kazakhstan's digital solutions are capable of competing on a global level. Last year, the volume of exports of domestic IT services reached $529 million. In the first six months of 2024, this figure surpassed $300 million. By 2026, the volume is expected to increase to $1 billion, as instructed by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Currently, domestic digital products are exported to 86 countries, and the scope of international cooperation is expanding. Acceleration programs have been launched, enabling local startups to gain access to leading experts and investors from Silicon Valley. Furthermore, three international IT hubs with Kazakhstan’s participation are successfully operating in the U.S., Saudi Arabia, and Singapore.

«Kazakhstan is the region’s leader in terms of the volume of venture deals. Last year alone, their total value reached $80 million. Significant investments were attracted by companies such as CITIX, Hero’s Journey, Higgsfield AI, and others. Some of these companies have already reached a valuation of $100 million. These achievements confirm that Kazakhstan is becoming a key innovation hub in the region,» noted Zhaslan Madiyev, Kazakh Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry.

In addition, the country is creating conditions to attract talented professionals from around the world. Thus, the Digital Nomad Residency program is set to be launched next month. It simplifies the procedure for foreign IT specialists to obtain residency permits online. Notably, the Digital Nomad Visa was previously launched for digital experts.
