Kazakhstan actively develops eco projects

How to get rich from recycling and contribute to the preservation of the ecosystem? A unique digital project EcoQolday has been launched in Kazakhstan since the beginning of this year. Thanks to it, the volume of recycling in the first quarter of this year amounted to 23,000 tonnes. According to the developers, this project has completely changed the principle of waste collection, transportation and disposal, becoming a unique platform for both existing entrepreneurs and those wishing to start their own business in this direction.

“We will subsidize for each kilogram, ton of collected waste. After signing a contract with us, the collector collects waste and places it in the EcoQoldaý system, where all the utilizers see and offer their price. The system has a web version, in which collectors and utilizers participate,” said Kairatgali Khairulla, Managing Director for Strategic Affairs of a company.

The developers did not limit themselves to one digital platform ЕсoQoldaý. They believe that eco-culture should be taught from childhood. Therefore, on their initiative, the first environmental theater opened in the capital. Young spectators in various performances and in a playful way are told about the importance of proper waste disposal and respect for the environment.

“The children collect secondary raw materials, hand them over and with the earned tokens are able to get into our theater. The children will be involved in all sorts of activities, such as making crafts from recycled materials. We work with solid waste and various natural materials,” noted Kuralai Tuspekova, Artistic Director of the eco-theater.

In May, the eco-theater officials plan to present to young spectators two new plays based on environmental fairy tales, scripts for which were worked out by Kazakh teachers and specialists.
