Today, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received
Minister of Internal Affairs Yerzhan Sadenov, who briefed him on the crime
situation in the country. As a result of the comprehensive measures taken last
year, the number of crimes in the country decreased by more than 12,000. Overall,
this downward trend in crime rates has been observed in recent years. Additionally,
the introduction of modern investigative methods has improved the detection of
criminal offenses. The country is actively combating organized, drug-related
crimes, and internet fraud. Thus, an attempt to withdraw more than two billion
tenge from the country was prevented.
«I also informed the President about measures to protect the
rights of minors, strengthen migration control, ensure road safety, and improve
the penal system. The Head of State gave a number of instructions to further
enhance law and order and public safety in the country,» noted Kazakh Minister of
Internal Affairs Yerzhan Sadenov.
