A total of 55 industrial projects worth 68 billion tenge will be implemented in Astana this year. Industrial development will become part of efforts to strengthen the real sector of the economy and diversify industry. According to the Government, the capital continues to maintain high growth rates, with the majority of enterprises concentrated within industrial parks. The new projects will help expand the production of domestically made goods and attract additional investment into the city’s economy. During a working trip, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov visited several facilities, including a logistics center, a medical products manufacturing plant, and food production enterprises. Today, the capital ranks first in the country in terms of investment in fixed assets. Over the first four months of the year, 587 billion tenge was attracted, nearly 80% of which came from private investment. Astana is home to 246,000 small and medium-sized businesses, whose contribution to the economy has reached a record 66%.
«Since the beginning of the
year, the largest share of investment has been attracted to the logistics and
warehousing sector, accounting for around 38.8% of the total investment volume.
The industrial sector has also demonstrated strong growth: the volume of
investment attracted between January and April 2026 increased by nearly 76%
compared to the same period in 2025. The leading sectors showing the highest
growth dynamics are logistics, industry, and the construction sector,» noted Khalel Akimzhanov, Head of
Astana’s Investment and Entrepreneurship Development Department.
