Genghis Khan is often called the greatest conqueror in the history of mankind, a man who created the largest continental empire, a man who conquered half the world. This is not true. In fact, Genghis Khan conquered North China, Khwarazm and began the conquest of the Tangut state. But his sons and grandchildren continued the work of their father and grandfather by creating the greatest state in history, which, however, it does not downplay the merits of Genghis Khan as a brilliant organizer and statesman who managed to hand over his power to worthy people. That is why UNESCO called Genghis Khan the greatest man of the past millennium.
