An international exhibition dedicated
to Turkic writing took place in Bern, Switzerland, showcasing works of masters
of applied arts from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan. The exposition featured
contemporary artistic interpretations of petroglyphs, inscriptions and tamgas (tribal
emblems) carved into stones, offering insights into the cultural heritage and
identity of the Turkic peoples. Moreover, visitors had the chance to step into
the shoes of ancient craftspeople and create their own symbols or petroglyphs,
immersing themselves in the creative process through engaging master classes. The
event was organized by the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation
and the Kazakh Embassy in Switzerland.
Relations are developing between Kazakhstan and
Switzerland. In addition to economic ties, which are very important,
tourist and cultural ties have also been established. There is a large
potential to develop these ties as well as our friendship.
Since over a decade we have had excellent
cooperation with Kazakh tourism, and we are proud of this cooperation between
the two countries in the field of tourism. Also, we look forward to many
more years of partnership and projects together.
